ACTION-WESTERN SWEEPING AWARDS, COURAGE CO-STARS

When the making of an action-western is an adventure in itself, that’s White Dove. Three years in the making: White Dove is about a girl rescued by the indigenous Paiute. Named White Dove, she’s molded into a warrior during California’s Gold Rush; when tensions are high between the Natives, settlers and Chinese after bandits seize control scapegoating and terrorizing the land.

I play White Dove’s brother, Hakan, an unsure-of-himself warrior with a mighty load placed on his shoulders as he finds his tribe struggling to survive. His sister now chooses to leave on some mission to seek justice? Something he sees as reckless as it is impossible to understand…

NEW DOCUMENTARY ABOUT NATIVE PEOPLE & HORROR

From the creative psyche of director Mike J Marin (The Party’s Downstairs (2019), The Smudging (2016) comes a fresh (or rotted!) new take on the horror genre: what First Nations and Indigenous people have to offer in way of chilling stories and experiences about what scares them?

And of course, I was also one of the featured artists in this documentary! Follow Marin on social media for further updates on many future planned screenings, this project is getting lot of attention!

3 NEW FILMS HEADING TO FILM FESTIVALS FOR 2020

I’ve had the absolute pleasure and honor of working for two very talented Native filmmakers who are creating stories, crafting visions and representing the best of what our community has to offer as Indigenous artists.

Both of these films including my own film, DAMN ME, have been heading to film festivals in SoCal and beyond. Look for updates here or click on their titles to learn more about them and their directors!

WEB-SERIES – THE ACTORS JOURNEY

A little Native finding his way in a big city. Catch me each week as I show you the world I want you to see: everyday actors sacrificing and persevering through it all, through my own journey as one. Watch as I expose the lives behind the “brands”, share my discoveries and resources as well as many hilarious, scary and heart-breaking moments.

Do you know the stories? The struggles? The barriers?

Catch “The Actors Journey” on my Youtube Channel and Facebook page.

A STORY – STANDING ROCK & BEYOND

In 2019, I will be writing about my entire experience with the movement born out of Standing Rock. It will chronicle a brutally honest, revealing and personal journey across the country from Los Angeles, to the front-lines and Two Spirit Nation (link) at Oceti Sakowin, to Gaycation in DC (video), to my adoption by a Lakota family, Divest LA (video)and beyond.

It will say just as much about the time we live in as it will about the United States today, the world of activism, the hardest questions facing all of us and indigenous identity in the twenty first century. Look for updates on this project that seeks to continue the work that began with the unity of hundreds of tribal nations. Mni Wiconi!

NEW BOOK – RELIGIONS OF THE WORLD – 1 PAGE EACH

The world is a huge place filled with rich cultures and people who all possess values, principles and world-views that are defined by their spiritual, religious or secular identities. Too many people to this day still don’t have a general idea of what major belief systems are out there.

So after years of research, I have been creating a very special book that attempts to do the impossible by condensing the basic concepts of nearly 30 religious/spiritual world-views down to one page each that could be read in one sitting! Each page objectively but poetically written as if the reader himself was a believer of that faith. What better way to bring the world together than with clarity and understanding?
