A WOMAN WARRIOR IN THE RAVAGED WEST
TORN BETWEEN DESTINY AND DARKNESS
White Dove is an Action Fantasy Western set in the mid 1800s during the California Gold Rush when tensions are high between white settlers, Chinese immigrants and the American Indian tribes of that area.
A young girl, whose parents are murdered by bandits and is then taken in by the local Paiutes soon finds herself as a young woman. A warrior trained by the arrow, sword and gun caught in the middle of great destiny where she’ll have to choose between revenge or justice for herself, her families and her past.
The role I played from the beginning with this project has been intense, integral but most of all immersive; being trained in how to manage a professional crowd funding campaign from beginning to end.
But surely as the branding implies, I was thrilled when the final decision was made to cast me as one of the lead actors, playing the role of Hakan, White Dove’s brother. The son of the chief who grew up alongside his sister, Hakan is a brave yet often unsure of himself warrior who sees his role in his tribe drastically turn dire as he fights to protect what’s left of it in the middle of high tensions, all while his sister decides to leave on a journey he himself cannot get himself to understand.
Project “White Dove” originally started as a dream and a vision as a Seed and Spark crowdfunding campaign. But thanks to a multi-talented team of nearly 10 people (and hundreds of hours) we were able to make this epic a reality raising $40,000 in a little over a month. The biggest thanks to our team and especially all our backers that were the real heroes of the real life story behind White Dove.
